I know how you feel, I love my stove also. For years my husband tried to talk me into gas, and I wouldn't. But now I don't know how I'd cook without it. My stove cost rather a lot, but it was still cheaper than a cheap car, and more fun. Congratulations on getting a great stove.

My husband is a retired "educator" and I am a health professional who has had experience in commercial food service.

We agree that the kitchen is no place for live companion animals. They are known carriers of some serious diseases. At least I hope you do not allow cats on the surfaces where you prepare or eat your meals.

Anyway, you are very lucky to have such an oven! Too bad the convection oven doesn't have the roto.

Preparing chicken the way you do with the roasted potatoes and onions, cooked in the chicken's drippings is probably our favorite comfort food.

Might I suggest increasing the cooking temperature? 175C is not even 350F. In our opinion (and that of most professional chefs) chicken is best roasted at much higher heat. 375 at least. 450 is even better.
