Here in Hawaii they’re called poha and we make a very tasty jam from them.

In New Zealand we call these Cape Gooseberries. My in-laws had a plant at their old house – ahhh sweet memories.

DaviMack: In Sweden they are definitly an annual just like tomatoes. They are very hard to keep during winter.

There’s something I’ve never bought (or grew) only has placed at the side of a desert in restaurants!

Any ideas how to use them?

Oh, yum! I didn’t know that they were an annual – I thought they grew on a tree or something! We had them just a few weeks ago, and enjoyed them quite a lot.
