Weekend cat blogging

This could be just an ordinary shot of Yoshi sleeping…..

It’s been really hot in Sweden the past days, it’s 30 degrees C which is way too hot. Mostly we don’t do anything except walking the short walk down to the beach where we take a bath. We’re exhausted by the heat, just as the cats. But I know I shouldn’t complain as summer is short and soon it will be autumn again, and these warm summer days will only be a vague memory.

But it’s actually his new favourite spot where he’s overlooking the house and all people entering it. And yes, I’m really scared that he will fall down in his sleep.

Good Grief!! That first picture looks really nice – awww a kitty sleeping, but the second one makes me gasp!! He must be confident to sleep up there!!

By the way – I see that that window can be opened – do you ever manage to open it!!!?

Yikees, that would make me very nervous to find my cat there!! Please send more pictures of your home. It looks charming, because I live in Canada I am very interested in what other countries look like, and how the housing compares to ours. Hope that you are enjoying your new home. I love your blog, you have an easy way of writing and your food is always inviting and look very tasty. Ciao

Sam: We don’t bother to open the window, our arms are too short :-)

    Rosa: Scary indeed!

Courtney: Thank you! I guess we’ve settled in :-)

    Benny: thanks!

Rita: Thank you! I’m sorry to say that I don’t feel completly confident publishing photos of my home on the internet, but I will probably at least show the kitchen sooner or later.

Gemma: Thanks! He’s a super cool cat!

Aurelie: I’m glad you like it here!! It is a lovely country to visit :-)

That is just too funny – and utterly terrifying at the same time! No wonder you’re nervous!

Please, Please, PLEASE! Consider putting up a shelf for him. Just a 2×4 for some board, painted white and attached just below the ledge (doesn’t look like it might attach to the ledge it self). Much cheaper than an emergency vet bill and worth the risk to life.

You’ve got such a cute cat but I’m also scared when I see him up there…yikes! Love the Gartfield quote btw ;)

Cats usually find the most ridiculous places to sleep. A white cat Maya I know always does te same as your cat: lying on small surfaces several meters above the ground. She’s still alive though. Normally they know what they’re doing.

cats just love those hard to get to perches! i’d be worried too but cats, especially older cats, seem to be pretty cautious. my kitty would totally try to jump to that window and miss but your cat seems to know what he is doing :) hope he stays safe up there.

the more times he goes there the sleep, the higher the chances of his falling. its only a matter of time. you should put some kind of net or sculpture or something. take a look at The Cats’ House by Bob Walker. its an amazing book of how the author created a gorgeous house accommodating his cats needs. it might give you some ideas.

Wow! That’s high! My younger cat would probably try that, but I hope my older cat wouldn’t.
