Moomin gingerbread house!
Tada! Here is finally our little family project: a Moomin gingerbread house! We found the template here and we used some of our normal gingerbread cookie dough. We had great fun doing the Moomin house and next year we’ll try something more difficult :-)

Fredrik is applying “snow” on the moomin house roof.

You know Moomins used to scare me when I was a child? Bringing those memories back is just cruel ; )
December 16th, 2006 12:16
Gerda: I’ve only seen the cutters once and that was when I bought them. I so regret that I didn’t buy more as a lot of people ask me about them.
Scott: *lol* How could they possibly scare you? They are so cute! :-)

this is probably the coolest gingerbread house i have ever seen. i have just moved to japan and noticed the moomins are the height of fashion here. being swedish, i have greatly enjoyed moominvalley in my childhood… and recently i’ve been wanting to make gingerbread characters. wow, you’ve just captured all these things in one. i am in awe.

I LOVE this house!! I bought the kit to make it, but what did you use to make the tiles on the roof? Is it almonds?
Thanks!
