Hello Dagmar! The marmalade was a great idea and realtively quick to make. Now I’ll have a little “sunshine flavor in a jar” to send to my parents and brothers in New York. I also made a simple syrup with lime so I can make a quick glass of limeade (instead of lemonade). One of my couins in the area is having a Halloween Party tonight so I’ll bring a bag of limes for the guests to use if they are drinking tequila..I have been reviewing some of the previous pages in your blog and you have some fantastic recipes & ideas. Well, I have to do some shopping and housecleaning today, “moja rodzina” is very big and that means there is always someone visitng someone else who then wants to visit me; tomorrow it’s 2 cousins from Manhattan and antoher cousin & her family from St. Augustine(on the other side of Florida). I think you may appreciate the expression “Boze kochana” that I use when there are some many things to do and so little time..and thanks to you, I will be making the chicken dijonaise for my guests. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

Dzien dobry, Dagmar! Thanks for the ideas; I never thought about lime marmalade but that may be the best choice! I love the sweet & bitter & sour taste of marmalades (and they make a great base for marinades & other sauces in a pinch). As for Zosia, she has a longer name: Zoia Zygielbojm Zamojska – very old Polish – and Nickolai is ” Nickoali Andreyevich Kazanovkii” – my cats always have 3 names for some odd reason…Now, off to the kitchen for the marmalade!

Thanks, you’re so kind :-) Zosia is a Polish name, but I guess that you already knew that. I really envy your citrus trees… One thing that I come to think about is doing a lime tart (http://www.acatinthekitchen.com/?p=89 , just substitute the lemon in the lemon tart with a few limes instead). Hmmm….Other things you could do is lime marmalade, juice, ice cream, chicken with lime (marinate chicken in lime jucie and garlic) etc etc.
