[...] This week I received yellow beets in my organic vegetable box. I was thrilled and thought about making a yellow beet soup, until I found a recipe for chocolate cake with yellow beets. And as I felt I needed to follow my Garfield quote in the blog header I promptly decided to make the cake instead. And as a matter of fact I still have 500 grams of yellow beets left, which I can use for something else (soup, beets with chèvre, yellow beet cookies?). [...]

Pille,
Yes, the company provide information on the origin of the products. Unfortunately nothing was from Sweden this time.

Fredrik is terrified now when I'm planning the menu. He is a real carnivore and it will be a hard time convincing him to eat the Jerusalem artichoces or cauliflower, but I'll try do do something really nice :-)

Milie,
How fun that you're coming to Sweden in May. Linköping is really cosy.

tpf,
*lol* How hilarious that your Pixel likes lettuce!! Cats are just wonderful :-)

Hehehe your cats sniffing the box remind me of ours - they are so fascinated by any box or bag we bring into the house. If we don't put away our vegetables quick enough, Pixel will nibble on the edge of the lettuce.

I've got friends in Linköping and we're going to see them in may.
this system of boxes full of good things is a real good idea!
I hope they will do the same in France one day!

Looks lovely, Dagmar, it really does. Do they also provide information re: the origin of the produce. I guess you could still find some nice Swedish apples maybe?
I can imagine all the fun you have planning the menu. Roasted cauliflower? Artichoke soup and gratin? And rocket is of course best served with a goat's cheese and bacon salad;-)
